“Happy Times”
This was my last year teaching!
“There comes a point in your life, when you need to stop reading other people’s books and write your own.” Albert Einstein
I help aspiring writers who want to tell their story, but struggle with unpacking the moments, memories, and the lessons.
How did I get here?
After teaching, training, and coaching both students and teachers in the craft of writing for more than 30 years, there was one thing I knew for sure: not every struggling writer was a poor writer. Often, students struggled with writing because of a lack of authentic passion, purpose, and guidance. I noticed that instructors attending my workshops, lacked the same attributes as their students, due to assessment-driven curriculum, resources, and practices. After writing new curriculum, resources, and professional development, I witnessed the transformation within struggling writers and frustrated teachers. Students began to develop effective writing skills that enabled them to reveal skills and beautiful stories, formerly trapped. I refined the process and resources to support my Writing Coach practice, as well. Clients use the support, process, and resources to transition through their writing journey, towards various writing products.
Today, with the advent of online learning and the pause of the pandemic, I revised and repackaged my courses as on-demand writing and journaling courses, with coaching support. This allows me to reach and serve more students, and to continue to offer ongoing support to returning students who have moved to other areas.
Now, that the writing and journaling courses, and my coaching support are on online platforms, I have more time to add supplemental writing products. I have added additional journals, planners, and digital reading and writing products to support writing as a craft and as an art, as well.
Here’s how we can work together:
Offers and Opportunities

Books and Coffee
That is all.
1. Fun fact
I am a happy nerd! When I taught high school, my students would ask, “Why do you get so excited about books and reading?” By the end of the school year, most of them were excited about the stories we read. Many would contact me during and after their college or career journeys, and share which text remains their favorite.
2. Fun fact
I would get in trouble with my mom, for reading! Well, it was more of reading in bed late at night, with a nightlight. She said it would ruin my vision. Lies! Decades later, I only need glasses for driving at night! …hmmm, night-vision, maybe she was right?
I would sneak and read at night, using flashlight, night lights, toys with lights—anything!
3. Fun fact
Coffee makes me sleepy. That is—-my late evening cup of coffee makes me sleepy. It has the same effect on me, as hot chocolate: soothing and relaxing. It could be that,I have been drinking coffee and tea with my grandmother, since I was a kid.
“My story is my testimony. My service in guiding others in the art and craft of writing, is my mission.”
The Power of Words
I believe in the power of words and the value of stories. Writing and reading stories, can provide happiness, joy, healing, and even hope. When we learn to harness the power of words and the art of storytelling, we learn to “reflect, relate, and release”.
